Stores That Refill Ink Cartridges

Facts about refilling empty cartridge of a laser printer.?
The cartridge of my black and white laser printer seems to be exhausted (white patch is appearing vertically in each page). I have two options: either refill the cartridge (much cheaper) or buy a new cartridge (costly). I want to know which option is better in the long run. How do I choose a suitable refill ink? or accept whatever is available at the store? What about quality of printing with refilled cartridge? Does a refilled cartridge give off smell (through fine particles)? (I am allergic to these). Is it likely that ink may leak from a refilled cartridge?
You can’t simply “refill” a toner cartridge for a laser printer, it’s more complicated than that. Toner cartridges contain a variety of parts which must be replaced or the cartridge will fail long before you use up the toner you’ve used to refill it. There are wiper and doctor blades, a primary charging roller, the actual drum which deposits the toner onto the paper, etc… Depending on the cartridge most or all of these parts must be replaced.
Additionally, most modern laser printers use cartridges which contain an electronic chip. One purpose of this chip is to keep track of the number of pages printed with the cartridge. Most often, when the cartridge has printed its maximum number of pages (as determined by the manufacturer) your printer will shut down until you install a new cartridge or a cartridge with a new chip.
I’d recommend you look for a Cartridge World location, they have over 1700 stores in countries all over the world and can properly remanufacture most toner cartridges.
Go to http://cartridgeworldusa.com Enter your zip code in the store locator at top left or, if not in the US go to http://cartridgeworld.com then select your country from the pulldown menu at upper left of the page.
