Is there a way to clean expired print heads?
I have an HP Officejet Pro L7600 Series It takes HP88 Ink Cartridges in yellow,cyan, black and magenta. Although I just replace the cyan with a non-refurbished cartridge it will not print using cyan. Now I’ve discovered that the printheads are actually separate from the actual cartridge. I’ve always had ones that were all in the same. The cost of replacing both is just plain wrong. Is there a way for me to clean or make the printheads happy without buying new ones?The problem printhead details are as follows: HP Printhead magenta/cyan 88 C9382A. HP tech support told me the printhead was expired and I had to buy a new one. But that’s the answer I’d expect from them. I used to refill my old HP cartridges that had the printheads attached. Please tell me there is a loop hole. Thanks
Try using a paper towel soaked in rubbing alcohol to remove the dried ink.
