I have a printer i havent used for about 3 years.today i took out the 2 cartridges and put them on my desk.they werent standing.then i put them in small plastic bags and brought them to a shop to get refilled.they told me i should had kept the color one in a plastic bag cuz now the colors got mixed.but how?should i buy a new used color cartridge and get it refilled or will this one work well after the ink runs out and will get refilled again?
im not gonna buy a new color cartridge.i care for the enviroment as well as my pocket.but if it turns out it wont work i;ll have to buy a new one.

Did you put the two cartridges in the same bag?

Is so they may have cross contained and the black got sucked up by the colour one.

I would say if the colour is indeed contaminated then buy a used one again.

You can check if the ink is really contaminated by running the ink onto a piece of paper towel.

If the three colours are coming out as three coloured lines then that is not contaminated as the ink would be an odd colour in one or all of the stripes had been mixed with black.

If it is contaminated there is no way that you can get it back as it will have absorbed right through and it will takes many refills to get it back if indeed you ever could.

If you have to transport cartridges, electrical tape is quite good to put over the print head at the bottom to stop the ink coming out.It is easily removed for refilling.

Sometimes re-fillers put a cradle on the cartridge after filling to stop the ink coming out in transportation. That is reusable so can be used to transport it back for re-refilling.
