Computer printer ink costs are whack!!! How can we make them GET REAL!!!”?
When you buy a printer for your computer nowadays, you can get them for as low as $50 Cdn. That’s great for the wallet until you use it and run out of ink!!! Not only is the colour ink cartridge replacement almost the same price as the printer …. but the single black ink costs almost the same as the 3 colour ink cartridge!!!
WHO IS THE EINSTEIN WHO CAME UP WITH THAT PRICE GOUGE IDEA??? WHAT A COLOSSAL RIP OFF!!!
You can buy a litre of champagne in Canada for $20. Ralph Lauren’s Polo cologne for men is only $40 US. A case of 28 Labatt’s Blue lager beer is $41.00! WHAT DO THEY PUT IN THEIR TABLESPOON OF PRINTER INK? GOLD????
I think it’s time computer hardware manufacturers get a grip on reality and quit trying to squeeze every little drop of blood out of our paycheques they can get their greedy, dishonest hands on.

Have you ever tried getting the ink cartridges refilled? There is usually a small shop around somewhere, in a lower priced shopping mall (don’t look in the big, glitzy malls) and they usually do all sorts of other things as well – photocopying, etc. You can get your cartridge refilled very inexpensively. Some shops refill ink cartriges, and some refill laser cartridges. But you’re right, the costs are outrageous. I love the idea of just buying a new printer, but what do you do with the old ones?
