Brother ink cartridges are interchangeable, and 7-1 LC5 LC5?

I have two Brother printers at home, buy local (Philippines), and one imported from the U.S. (gift my father). The two printers are almost the same function (just the fax function of the American) but use a variety of cartridges, which seem remarkably uniform! LC5-7 is available locally, but the LC5-1 can only be purchased in the United States. It would be too expensive to send cartridges and constantly buying wholesale would be very expensive. If the LC5 and LC5, 7-1 cartridges interchangeable? Can I use a 7-LC5 U.S. to buy a printer?

Not sure how close to a brother named LC-51 LC-57, which is working, but all of them are suitable for LC-51 Market both. If you have an inkjet LC51 turning to pop in to see what happens. PRINTER yourp does not hurt to do it, but my brother bought the brand and find that it does not work. If all else fails go to a good compatible cartridges.
