Printer prints colors on paper different from on screen?

Yeah so I just got my ink cartridges filled the other day – by a reputable company called Ink Jet Island, they’re located at a kiosk in my mall (I live in Canada) and so it’s not like some lamo place or anything like that. There’s really no big problem, nothings leaking or anything, but some colors for example lime green appear vibrant on the screen but come out on paper dark and not at all bright and vibrant like how i want it to be. Are there setting somewhere that i can change things or…?

Unless your printer allows for color profiling (manually adjusting the cymk) saturations of your printer you are not going to be able to change the way your photos are printing.

The first thing I have to ask is did you allow the plastic bag to tough the bottom of the cartridge?

If this happens a little bit of ink leaches and back in, colour contamination the cartridge. If this has happened a couple print head cleanings will pull out the colour contamination. However if this is not the case, and prior to getting a refill your tones were good it is likely that an incompatible ink was used.
