Konica Minolta's 5570 review and Cartridge choice
5570 color laser printer is the latest to join the family created the Konica. With the appointment to the top of the speed 35ppm mono and 30 ppm color, which seems able to perform high-volume printing and uses Konica Minolta Group Simitri HD polymerised toner technology, which aims is to provide high quality printing.
Simitri HD uses toner particles that are uniform in shape and Konica Minolta claims this allows the printer to use a higher amount of detail and less toner than the competition. He also argues that the toner melts at much lower temperatures, allowing the printer to save 15% of energy consumption and reduce curvature of the paper. In addition, it emits 40% less CO2 than conventional toner.
We do not have arguments to build quality, and despite the fact that only slightly larger than Lexmark C532dn 5570 weighs in at 44kg box full load. Standard paper handling is divided into motor and 500-sheet lower tray 100-sheet multipurpose tray, and you can add two more 500-sheet tray base. With a good processor, the printer sports 256MB of memory and an extra 512MB costs £ 190, which is very reasonable.
As is the norm today, the printer is equipped with a low starter cartridges, in this case 6,000 page yield cartridges which offer cost per page of 7.1p 1.3pa frog color output.
As soon when they are exhausted, the cartridge must be replaced by 12,000 high performance and reduced cost per page for the site for more respectable 5.8p to 1.1p mono and color. Another 0.1 p per page can be shaved to require the expenditure of all the colors together form Toner Value Pack. There are no compatible cartridges available, but adds additional cost savings than are able to do it.
And so the print quality, and this is 5570 and its Simitri HD toner results because production is much better than many competing printers. Printer produced some of the best text quality we've seen, with sharp standard font sizes and even the smallest point sizes boldly produced to run without noticeable. Mono photos do not suffer every shade of color and level of detail is very good. Color photos revealed more detail, but suffered from gangs of large areas of single color of light – something the HP Laserjet CP4005n never had a problem with it. But if there were no bands, who would have a hard time telling them also that the two images held by the vibrations of our test is often the color laser printer. He cites the printing speed Mono is a bit optimistic, because recorded in the source document 35 pages in Word 1min 8secs average of 31 ppm. However, color printing was cash, documents, 24 pages in our DTP 48 seconds to complete the regular 30 ppm.
Konica 5570 may not be able to offer the same quality, the HP LaserJet product, but with the parties in terms of value and speed. The printer is well built, and its low printing costs should be put in print a brief list of each company.
What color workhorse that offers a good speed and color quality pressures moderate running costs should allow this one to your list.
