Ink Cartridges York

Epson 2200 Light for ink cartridge stays lit, after replacement x3????
I have an Epson 2200, after replacing the light cyan, and yellow cartridges, the indicating lights remains lit, and the printer would no longer work. So I did the obvious and bought a couple of replacements, and tried 2 more times. If I remove any of the other heads and then go through the replacement procedure, it recognizes their absence and sees them when replaced, with the exception of the yellow and magenta. Called Epson support and the person I contacted knew less about their printer than I do, and told me it was no longer under warranty, and referred my to a repair shop in an adjacent state (obviously New York State isn’t large enough to warrant one?). Is there anyone who could give me at home fix?
Take all of the cartridge and take them out of your machine.Turn the machine off and unplug the power source.Leave the machine off for about 2-3 minutes. In that time take each cartridge and shake (each cartridge) for about 45 seconds.Plug in the power source and turn the machine back on reinstall those cartridges. And it should recognize those cartridge as though they were original cartridges.Good Luck.
