What is the difference between low, moderate, and high yield ink cartridges for a printer.?
Myh husband who knows nothing about computers or printers went to pc world to get me a cartridge for my lexmark printer. He asked the assistant for cartridge compatible for lexmark 1190. I nearly fainted when he came back and had paid £36 for it. I have discovered now they sold him a high yeild cartridge. I think they worked the head on him because the moderate yield compatible cartridge is only £19.00. I am taking it back and giving them a piece of my mind, but in the meantime can someone tell me the difference

the high yield cartridge should actually SAVE you money… you normally will get twice as much ink for less than buying two of the smaller ones…
If you rarely print, buying the smaller (less expensive) ones isn’t a big deal, but if you find you run out of black long before you run out of color, the higher yield tank makes more sense… (and most people have that problem).
(Plus, to be honest, Lexmark ink is the most expensive ink out on the market.. as it uses alot per print and generally costs more than HP, Canon or Epson)
