Which is better – ink or laser all-in-one?

I am looking to get a new all-in-one. I want a machine with specific features, which I can find on either inkjet or laser printers. I am concerned about the ink cartridge vs the laser toner costs. Also I’ve heard inkjets are better for photos. Any advice out there about costs and performance comparisons?

It depends on the type of workload you have. Lasers are much more durable & cost efficient

If you only plan to print the occasional photo … just have it done at Walmart or a place like that.
When you consider the cost of ink & photo paper it really isn’t worth it to print your own pictures regularly. Most everyone today has a DVD player which can view photo CDs just fine.

Laser will save you money & prints text & graphics in much higher quality.

Color Laser all in one units are more expensive ($379 to $550) to buy … like this HP model :

But … they will perform better, last longer, & cost less to use.
