My HP J4580 Printer says I am out of black ink, but got it refilled?

So, I took my cartridge to Costco to a refilling station, but my printer does not recognize that I have filled it with ink. What do I do to get it to recognize that? I tried to align the cartridges and that didn’t work.

It will never recognize that ink as it’s a refill.

Once the chip has read as empty that’s it. The chip is dead and the printer won’t ever see it as a new cart. Running cleaning cycling will not work and will only waste ink.

It should print though as HP are well behaved with refills.
