Ink Cartridges Generic

My Epson RX595 continuous ink system doesn’t work anymore–”cannot recognize ink cartridges”, how to fix?
My dad bought a CIS system off some generic website, Supertobuy.com and I am waiting for a reply from them right now, but my hopes are kind of low with that. The CIS worked really well for about two weeks before I turned it on one day and it just said “cannot recognize ink cartridges. Replace ink cartridges”. Help! I’ve looked through forums and I can’t figure out how to fix it! Thanks in advance!!
nevermind!! Fixed, just gently rubbed the ink cartridge chips with a clean pencil eraser–kind of scary how easy that was! (I found the solution somewhere online a while ago but had yet to try it)
Okay! False alarm…the same problem is occurring again. Anyone have a permanent fix???
Yes, dont use CIS or refills. The chips are designed to “self destruct” when the ink registers empty. Since a CIS is designed to never register empty, it usually works but if you let it run empty, or the printer decides its empty anyway, the chip gets that signal and then you run into this problem. If you want to save money, buy brand new compatible cartridges. Try http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp
I’ve been using these cartridges for close to ten years.
