Is it cheaper to buy an ink cartridge refill kit? Instead of buying a brand new ink cartridge?

I work at a school and we tend to buy ink cartridges in bulk for retail price. Surprisingly there are no discounts for schools. Is it cheaper to buy refills of ink?

Yes and No.
If you can effectively refill your cartridge it is cheaper, however very few cartridges can be effectively refilled and even fewer people can get them working correcly upon refilling.

The most likely scenario is no it will not be as you will probably be out the cost of a refill kit and replacement cartridges.

See if there is a smaller company that will cut you a better deal. Independant retailers will often work out a better pricing structure based upon volume.
