Whats best low cost refills or suppliers originals
can the refills damage the printer

I repair printers for a living
If the Cartridge has the head attached to it you can refill it as many times as it can stand before it stops working, the quality of the print gets too bad, or the head drops off spilling the contents all over the place (very common with lexmark) but not that often.
on the other hand cartridges that do not have heads attached(copper/gold bits on the bottom) to them should not be refilled
the fixed head in the printer is designed for only one type of ink, dye or pigment which both work at different temperature’s use cheap refill ink and the head will clog up or over heat.
Epson heads can be as much as £70 a time
refilled tanks WILL damage/reduce the life of the heads in an Epson or the new type HP printers
