Hp Ink Cartridges Ireland
Nov/100
Is HP the only company where the ink cartridge contains a print head?
I am looking for a single-function inkjet printer, and I am considering the Canon IP 3600, in Ireland.
Just about every inkjet/laserjet printer that takes an ink cartridge has built in heads. With the exception for Kodaks current thermal dye printers – no heads on the cartridges, but the printers permanent heads only last about 5 years or less depending on usage. Kodak claims without a head in the cartridges, their replacement cartridges are low in pricing compared to others whose cartridges include print heads.
Sample pricing of typical HP cartridges in Canada $35-$75 (black + colour), same type of cartridge but for Kodak’s thermal dye printers $12-$18 (black + colour). So from that sample you can see its about one third to one half of typical HP cartridges with heads.
Thermal dye printers are best for colour photograph applications rather than straight black text printing. They produce rich vivid water resistant colours that are guaranteed to not fade chip or peel in a lifetime (I do believe their fine print specifies their definition of lifetime = 50 years).
The good thing about cartridges with heads is you can guarantee a clean print. Permanent head printers can get fuzzy over time which is why Kodak limits their dye printers to a maximum of 5 years.
