Where can I buy reliable discount ink cartridges for my HP printer? Anyone ever bought from discountcartridge?

The normal retail price for the black & white plus the color cartridge together is about $50, even at lower priced retailers like Best Buy and Staples. I did find an on line merchant called discountcartridge.com that sells what they claim are cartridges guaranteed to contain equivalent amounts of ink as the name brand maufacturers. I guess you could even say they are endorsed by Yahoo! Their web site states the following: “Discount Cartridge, Inc. is proud to have earned Yahoo! Shopping’s highest 5-Star rating based on thousands of customer responses, not just a few. We have also been tested by the Safe Shopping Network for safety, performance and usability.”

I wish you had mentioned your HP printer model/ink type in your note. I found a place called ABACUS 24/7 that has a whole page of HP models listed that they carry ink for. I found them doing a research typing assignment for online products a couple weeks ago and decided to check them out when my Dell printer needed ink. Their prices are HALF what Dell (I average about $70 when I buy both black ink and color cartridges from them) and even Staples charged (my last color cartridge from Staples wanted to print only greens and blues after less than a week and it had cost over $25, if I remember right). Abacus sells color and black cartridges for $19.50 each, or 2 for $38.50 (whether 2 color, 2 black, or 1 of each). You can also buy 5 packs, or 10 packs.
As an example of HP prices, I chose No. 02B–C8721WN and the price for 1 cartridge is $12.99 . It was given 5 gold stars, and says it has “twice the ink content and page yield as the OEM cartridge.”
