Why has my printer run out of ink so quick???
HP PSC 1510 All-in-one
I replaced the black ink cartridge last week, have printed maximum 50 pages over this time (all text no pictures or graphics).
Now it’s printing all splotchy and at the end of printing says – you’re low on black ink!!!!!!!!
At $30 a pop thats bl**dy expensive printing.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of a cheaper brand cartridge I can buy that will fit my machine?
I’m in Australia.

EDIT: Thanks guys. I’ve only done 50 pages because I’ve been applying for jobs, but even so, 50 pages isn’t much on one ink cartridge!!
Good idea about the draft setting.
I had the same problem I bought the original cart. and it run out of steam very soon.
Then I tried an off brand one sold by the same company(they had both products side by side) and since I have had very reasonable runs for les than half the cost $12.00 Am in Dandenong North,(Vic) but you should find this product across Oz easily..Goodluck babe
