I have a Epson stylus R300 printer – HELP!
I have just replaced the Black ink cartridge with a genuine Epson replacement ; but when commanded to print nothing shows on paper except for all colour items….
Does anyone have a solution to this (probably straight forward) – no error or incorrect ink messages displayed – Thanks very much.
Is it possible you havent used the printer in a while? Then the heads might be clogged. Depending on how badly, a cleaning may or may not help. Run a cleaning then a nozzle check. If it’s getting better, run several cleanings. If it doesnt help, then your heads are badly clogged. Take out the black cartridge and drip some rubbing alcohol where the ink goes. Put the cartridge back and try some more cleanings. Short of disassembling the heads, that’s the best I can advise.
