Epson Stylus CX9400Fax Printer Problems occurring in regards to the ink cartriges.?

I just recently purchased the epson stylus CX9400Fax ink jet printer. I buy LD brand generic ink that works 100% fine. The problem is, the ink cartridges seem to allways be running out of ink. Since the printer will not print after 1 cartridge is empty, I am forced to buy new ones. Now, that wouldnt be a problem if it werent for the fact that it is running out of ink even though no color was printed. It is set for black ink only and is always reporting cyan as empty, I replace it, then magneto and yellow at the same time are needed to be replaced, then it works. I am tired of buying ink, just to have them report empty and needing replaced 1-2 weeks later after only 50 prints. I know that the counters all count down at the same time…so why does the black never need replacing….always printing fine…but the colors allways need replaced even under almost no use? Everything works fine on it. The SSC printer freeze utility does not have this printer in its database…what do I do?

Use a Ink cartridge stuff that will reset the IC on the cartridge. Maybe you don’t lose inks at all but if you think that when it displayed EMPTY, try to reset the cartridge and and use them again. the Printer don’t actually know how much ink is remaining on the cartridge but it just base it’s ink display on the IC on the inks. It’s only an estimation and it might display Empty tanks but you actually have more than 2/5 of it. Try it. And it will pay off
