epson ink cartridges yields
My photo printers yield is less than a tenth what it’s supposed to be, help!!!?

I’m printing photos using an Epson P50, it’s yield tables are here: http://www.epson-europe.com/internetLive/dctm/content/EU/en_GB/products/yield_information/EU-Product-Yield-P50-EN.inter.jsp

I’m on my first set of print cartridges, and from the levels of ink that were present having just installed and calibrated the printer, they are down 75% after only about 12 prints
What could this be?

Additional info:
This is the first set of cartridges that came with the printer.
I am accounting for the ink used to charge the print heads, the starting level that I’m counting from is the level present immediately before my first print.
I am setting the correct paper in printing preferences, best quality, and max dpi

Printers don’t come with full cartridges. They are starter ones. They are sometimes only 20% full.

Edit
This states that the yeilds are not from the first set of cartridges and are tested in a specif manner! A manner that is therfore not as you would test it at home.
