Help, my Epson DX7450 is playing up – ink issues?

I was an Epson fan, but bought a DX7450 recently and the inks have just run out. I bought some compatible ink cartridges and the printer wont work! I can scan but cant print anything. Any help will be happily digested. I phoned Epson and they have said that you cannot use any thing other than Epson inks now due to the chip. Isn’t this trade practice discrimination? I think you should be able to use what you want as long as the inks are compatible. HELP please

It was in the TECH news recently that some INKS are getting shipped to USA from some Asian countries , all pre-filled and some inks expire or no longer in good condition. Thats why manufacturer recommmends to use the BRAND Ink for the printers. Try replacing the INK with EPSON and that should esolve your issue. It’s not called discrimination if the ink you bought does not work.
