epson ink cartridges stores
CISS printers experts, I need your help, please.?

I have a personalizing shop and I use epson T10 printer bundled with CISS pigment ink. now, the problem is even though my external tank still has lots of ink, in the ink level screen whenever I’m printing it shows that my ink are getting lower and lower everytime. especially the MAGENTA.
it has always been my problem, after sometime the magenta will be read as empty by the computer (though tank still full) and the next message that will appear is that I installed an imcompatible ink cartridge.
now, please help me resolving this issue. how can i prevent my inks being read by the computer as “low”.
please help me on this all of you CISS experts. the store where I bought the printer is not cooperative on this issue at all. . thank you in advance!

Epson printers actually rely on the “chips” attached at the back of the cartridges to monitor the ink level. They don’t really look at the actual ink remaining inside the cartridge or in the external tanks of the continuous ink system.

Having said that, your continuous ink system (ciss) should have an “auto-reset” chips. That means that it should automatically become full again once it reaches the low ink level. Otherwise, you will not be able to use the continuous ink system effectively.

In case the chips do not reset automatically, you can try to turn off the printer and after 10 seconds, turn it on again to see if it resets the ink level. Another workaround is to try to remove the cartridges on the cartridge holder and put it back after 5 seconds. Lastly, if your continuous ink has a “white button” on top of the chips, you can try to press it for manual reset.

If the steps above do not work, you need to ask your continuous ink system provider to replace the chips because they are defective.

Hope this helps.
