Epson genuine or Epson compatible ink cartridges

I have a Epson DX4400. It’s due for a ink cartridge replacement. I have found a site where I can get a full set for a fiver. Would these be ok to use. Has anyone used compatible cartridges, and how did you get on with them. Do they wreck your printer, clog heads etc, or are they ok to use. Or shall I stick with Epson genuine? I have never bought a manufacturers replacement cartridge in my life and never had any problem in the 14 years I’ve been using computers.

I’ve always used http://www.inkclub.com/ for years and their prices are very reasonable.
