Bad print head on my Kodak printer?
My seldom used 1 year old Kodak printer/copier/scanner will not print a complete document, although I have changed the ink cartridges. A neighbor said I had a bad print head, and it needed replaced. So where can I get one? Can I install it myself? Why did it go bad to start with, as I have used this printer very little.
Unfortunately your question/statement is somewhat vague. What do you mean it “will not print a complete document”? Does it stop half way through? Is it missing lines, colors or areas of print? What is the exact model of your unit?
Some printers have separate print head cartridges from the ink cartridges. Many times these print heads get dry and clogged from non-use and sometimes can be cleaned, but sometimes need to be replaced. Any user maintenance or accessible/replaceable components should be listed in your User’s manual which may be on a CD that came with your unit.
