What Is Causing A Sudden Print Cartridge Error For An HP PSC 1315 To Be Unsolvable!?
I’ve tried the HP site and its tech support. I’ve tried the troubleshooting from both the software AND paper guide. NOTHING! It seems like a VERY simple problem. The Printer is only about 2 years old. An HP PSC 1315 with a new black ink cartridge and old color cartridge. I have a Dell Dimension 8400 and Windows XP Media Center Ed. Also, When a printing job seems to “freeze, how do I completely delete it? It seems impossible!
The error is as follows:
On/Resume light is a steady green.
Check Print Cartridge light is blinking red.
Big “E” in copies space.
I’ve reset, retried, reinserted, cleaned cartridges, etc…. with no result!
I KNOW there’s a solution! And I don’t want to waste my new black cartridge! I DEFINITELY can’t buy a new printer! I haven’t a lot of money.
Please, if you think of anything I can try, or any resource I’ve not gone to, please help!

It sounds like you will need to replace the old color ink cartridge as it is probably empty or close to being empty.
