Epson SX100 printer will not recognise new black ink cartridge?
The ink cartridge is not official but from Wh Smith but it is a T0711 cartridge for epson, it should be compatible as it is one of the 2 compatible black cartridge types.
I’m guessing that its a setting on my printer that won’t let the unofficial ink cartridge work, any ideas?
And also obviously my black inks not working but my colour ink is full, but colour documents won’t just print off, any ideas about that too?

Return the cartdrige. Those clone cartridge are often incompatible which is why your Epson won;t recognize it. Bring it back and ask for another one.
If it still doesn’t print, it proves my point and if it does, then the first cartridge was defective.
Edit…But most of the time, these cloned cartdige can damage your printer’s head.
