What does it mean when they say “with chips” on ink cartridges?
Hi there,
I was looking on eBay for some inks for my Canon Pixma IP4600. I’m confused! On most listings the item is described as coming “with chips”. What chips? Does it mean that these listings are fake inks? or what.
For a number of these Canon cartridges the old chip from your cartridge can be taken off and attached to the new cartridge. I would not recommend buying ink cartridges that do not come with the chip. It’s not worth the aggrevation. if you are looking to save a few bucks, I’d recommend trying remanufactured or compatible Canon cartridges.
